Manchester United's unbeaten Premier League run came to a crushing end as they were thrashed 6-3 at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils were four-nil down at the break thanks to a first-half blitz from Pep Guardiola's side as Erling Haaland and Phil Foden grabbed a brace each, with Kevin de Bruyne providing two assists in the process.

Although Antony gave United a glimmer of hope with his second goal in two Premier League matches, City made sure of the points as Haaland added his third of the afternoon with a thumping finish. Foden then joined the hat-trick party by netting City's sixth as he slammed in the ball into the bottom corner.

United mounted a mini fightback courtesy of Anthony Martial's late brace but it was too little too late as City ran out comfortable winners at the Etihad Stadium.

So, with that in mind, here are the winners and losers from the Manchester derby.

Having received some criticism after his performance in England's 3-3 draw with Germany, Foden responded to the critics as he scored his first-ever senior hat-trick.

The 22-year-old lined-up on the right of the City front-three with Haaland through the middle and Grealish on the left. Foden hasn't played much in that position before this season, with Guardiola opting to use Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling on the right-hand side in recent years.

But there seems to be a change in the mould with City using an out and out no.9, which has seen Foden move out to the wing more often, and he is relishing in that role. His all-round performance in the Manchester derby was sublime, with Foden opening the scoring inside the first 10 minutes with a cool first-time finish.

Foden's second was a little more simple after being teed up by Haaland, before slotting home from close-range. He is showing maturity beyond his years and that showed as he completed his hat-trick. You often see players slashing at the ball when under pressure, but Foden slowed himself down before slotting the ball into the near post with ease. It was a fine finish that capped off a special performance from a special player.
