Bangladesh will host the 2031 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup jointly with India, confirmed International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday.

The ICC confirmed the 14 host countries of the ICC men’s white ball events during the period of 2024-2031, an ICC press release said.

All 11 Full Members and three Associate Members have been s elected to host two ICC Men’s Cricket World Cups, four ICC Men’s T20 World Cups and two ICC Men’s Champions Trophy events.

The hosts were s elected through a competitive bidding process overseen by a Board sub-committee chaired by Martin Snedden along with Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Skerritt.

Apart from hosting the 2031 ODI World Cup with Bangladesh, India will also co-host the 2026 T20 World Cup with Sri Lanka and host the 2029 Champions Trophy.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has been awarded the hosting rights of the 2025 Champions Trophy.

It will be the first major global cricket tournament played in Pakistan since 1996 when it co-hosted the Men's Cricket World Cup with India.

The surprising fact is that the USA will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024 for the first time alongside West Indies.

T20 World Cup will be played down under in Australia and New Zealand in October 2028. England will share T20 World Cup hosting duties with Ireland and Scotland in 2030.
