The Sri Lankan cricket team arrived in Dhaka this morning (May 16) to play three ODIs against Bangladesh.

The visitors will be quarantined in their rooms for three days before the start of training sessions from May 19 at the BCB Academy ground in Mirpur.

The Sri Lankan team will take part in a practice game on May 21 at the BKSP.

Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka for three matches ICC qualifier matches at Sher-e Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) from May 23. 

Two teams have recently completed two matches test series in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh won three matches ODI series against weakened West Indies at home. 

Sri Lanka was brown washed by full strength West Indies on tour. Bangladesh ranks 7th and Sri Lanka 9th in ICC ODI ranking. 

This series apart from improving ranking gives opportunity for both teams for trying some new players for ICC world cup 2023.
