An out of the world once to be seen all round performance by redoubtable Ravindra Jadeja stunned RCB going very strong in IPL 14. His hurricane blasting 37 runs of the last over of Harshal Patel (poor chap would always remember as night mare) and 3/13 destroyed RCB. Can you imagine a team chasing well over 200 in the very last match digested a humiliating 69 runs defeat in the next match? Such was the rock roll performance of CSK. Off course all these could be Bollywood blockbuster.
The world was looking at this battle giants of two leading teams of IPL 2014. Virat Kohli led RCB was having a joy ride. MSD perhaps appearing for the last time in competitive cricket was also living up to the expectation. The match generated intensive heat and excitement.
CSK batting first was going smoothly with Faf du Plessis (50) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (33) giving them great launching pad scoring 74 in the first wicket partnership. The new bowling hero Harshal Patel rocked taking 3 quick wickets wretched the momentum from CSK. No one could guess what a tornado would strike RCB at Wankhede? Harshal came to bowl the 20th over of the innings at CSK 154/4. Believe it or not RJ struck deadly blows taking unbelievable 37 in the last over taking the match away from RCB.
No team whatever great it may be cannot recover from such a lightning strike. RCB also succumb. And of all people Ravindra Jadeja removing Washington Sundar (7), Glen Maxwell (22) and AB de Villiers (4) destroyed RCB. On a slow wicket gripping and turning Imran Tahir was his allay in tormenting. RCB could score only 122/9 losing by huge 69 runs. CSK now leads the table with 8 points from 5 matches. IPL matches this year is looking like stranger than fiction.
