A great all round performance of Cape Town all rounder George Linde rocked an shocked Pakistan. Most of the players of the new look South African team would not have featured in the match if 10 top players had not gone to India for playing in the IPL 2021. Yet this under strength team playing great cricket went down fighting in the first match. Yesterday in the second they won in style. After limiting Pakistan to 140/9 with great bowling and tight fielding they raced to 141/4 in only 14 overs. Winning by 6 wickets they squared the series. 

The ultimate outcome of the match could be guessed from the start of the Pakistan innings after Linde blew the Pakistan openers back in the pavilion by the 3rd over with his cleverly crafted left arm orthodox spin. Inform Mohammad Rizwan and Sarjeel Khan making a return after a while simply played to the hands of Linde. The protean bowling was so tight and accurate that even Babar Azom and old master Professor Hafiz could not play their normal carefree cricket. However, their partnership could wither the storm adding 58 for the 3rd wicket. But after Hafiz was picked up again by Linde for 32 none could stay with Babar long enough for him taking Pakistan to a safe score. He himself could not late loose. In his run a ball 50 he could never play any stroke in his brilliant own style. 140/9 was well below par at this wicket. Pakistan has to work out what went wrongly, Pakistan has genuine problems in the middle and late middle order batting.  But the way the team batted yesterday was pathetic. Credit must go to Linde (3/23) inspired South African attack for rocking Pakistan. 

South Africa chased the below par Pakistan set target in style. Aiden Markram scoring 54 in 30 deliveries led the charge. Henrich Klassen (36*) and George Linde (20*) stroking freely in the unfinished 5th wicket partnership raced across the finishing tape in 14 overs earning a thumping victory by 6 wickets. The four matches T20 series is squared as 1-1. South Africa is now really looking great. Usman Qadir son of great Pakistani leg spinner Abdul Qadir impressed taking 2/26. This big win of South Africa let out a message that winning the series would not be a cakewalk for Pakistan. Misbah and his mates in the coaching staff has to do lot of brainstorming.
