The much-hyped IPL 2021 also termed IPL14 or VIVO   IPL 14 takes off at 6 different cities in India from 9 April 2021. In glamour, attraction and excitement, the multimillion dollars IPL surpasses even IPL global events. The top players from all ICC full members excepting Pakistan and even associate member teams are attracted to like bees for beehive.  Teams adjust their bilateral engagements to let their players released for participating in the richest tournament. Sometimes some leading players opt to playing for their country ignoring the allure of money, glamour and excitement. Young Indian players gain a lot rubbing shoulders with the best of the best. This write up would try doing the previewing performance of each team. Two Bangladeshi players – world top ranked all rounder Shakib Al Hasan and left arm pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman have been given leave by BCB for appearing for their respective franchise. Shakib would play for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) . Mustafiz will appear for Rajsthan Royals (RR) . We will preview every team before the tournament commences. Bangladeshi viewers across the world would have greater fascinations for KKR and RR for obvious reasons. As such we will start with these two teams today.

The Venues : 
As mentioned about the COVID 19 has forced restricting venues of six only . But for out break of the second wave in Maharastra the IPL 2021 matches scheduled for Mumbai may be shifted to an alternate venue preferably at Hyderabad. 

Eight teams would participate in the tournament. The teams are Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC) , Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians (MI), Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sun Risers Hyderabad ( SRH). 

KKR In 2021:

KKR was formed in 2008. Jay Mehta, Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla own the franchise. KKR won the IPL trophy twice in 2012 and 2014. New Zealand Maestro Brendon McCullam is the coach of the team in 2021. English T20 Captain Eoin Morgan would lead the team.

Squad: Eoin Morgan, Shakib Al Hasan, Nistish Rana, Pradish Krishna, Sandeep Wariar, Sibam Mavi, Kamlalesh Nagarkoti, Lockie Ferguson, Pat Cummins, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakrawarthy, Sunil Narin, Andre Russel, Dinesh Kartik, Rinku Singh, Rahul Tripathi, Harbhajan Singh, Karun Nair, Ben Cuttings, Tim Sneifert, Shubman Gill, Pawan Negi, Venkatesh Iyer, Vaibhav Arora and Sheldon Jackson. 

The team appears to have very strong all round bowling attack. Ferguson and Cummins makes the most fearsome fast bowling condition. They will be backed up Ben Cuttings and Andre Russel whenever the wicket does not favor pace. KKR in 2021 may possibly the best spinning attack. Harbhajan Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Sunil Narin and Shakib Al Hasan give  diverse quality. Perhaps batting strength is a little thin in comparison with the bowling. As a maximum of four foreign recruit can appear in each match apart from Captain Morgan they can choose only three. In such case they may rotate between Ferguson and Cummins, play Shakib Al Hasan and Andre Russel as first choice. For playing Sunil Narin either Russel of Shakib has to stay out. It is highly likely that given the relatively thin batting resource Shakib would play at number, the position he played gloriously in IPL 2019. With Harbhajan and Kuldeep Yadav in the team Narin will not be required much.

The success would largely depend how the strong bowling can restrict the opponents as the team does not appear very strong in batting. Shubman Gill, Dinesh Kartik, Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell and Shakib Al Hasan would be required to make main contributions. If they can do that KKR may appear as the dark horse of the tournament.

KKR starts its mission 2021 playing against Rajasthan Royals on 12 April at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Chennai. The possibility of Shakib playing against Mustafiz is ruled out as Mustafiz would be in Quarantine and may not be available for the match.
