All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan's grandmother Rebeka Nahar passed away in Magura on Wednesday night. She was 87.

She breathed her last at her residence at Keshob Mor in Magura around 10:00 pm.

Former national team footballer Mehdi Hasan Ujjwal, grandson of the Rebeka, said she was suffering from various old age complications. She was brought to Magura from Dhaka Neuro Science Hospital on Tuesday.

Rebeka left behind two sons, three daughters and a host of well-wishers to mourn her death.
