Beximco Dhaka 109/3 in 18.5 Overs (Yasir Ali Rabbi 44*, Mushfiqur Rahim 23*) beat Fortune Group Barishal 108/8 (Tawhid Hridoy 33, Tamim Iqbal 31, Robiul Islam Robi 4/20) by 7 wickets

Finally, it took 3 matches and three quarter for formidable Beximco Dhaka winning and registering their name in the points table.  

They huffed and puffed in getting across a paltry 109 runs target that another poor performing team Fortune Group Barishal offered. We won't blame the wicket. It was simply awful batting by leading batsmen of both the teams. These are apology of T20 cricket played at SBNCS these days. 

Batting first after losing the toss Barisal struggled against spin of Robiul Islam. Except Tamim playing run a ball innings of 31 and young Tawhid Hridoy also doing a similar run a ball the batting looked terribly poor. The wicket was slow and low but definitely not a mine field. Such atrocious batting in T20 raises doubts and confusions. 108/8 in a T20 match where players are paid handsome money in the context of Bangladesh is unfortunate.  Apart from Tamim and Tawhid only Mehedy Miraj (12) reached double figure. 

Not that Dhaka batted better. They were also huffing and puffing chasing that score until Yasir Rabbi towards the end playing some aggressive strokes earned Dhaka its first win scoring unbeaten 44 in 30 deliveries. Great that Mushfique played the anchor role scoring unbeaten 23. The way these two teams played 4 matches in this tournament neither deserves staying in the tournament. But unfortunately given the format one would stay.
