2nd T20I, Mount Maunganui, Nov 29 2020, West Indies tour of New Zealand
New Zealand 238 /3 (GD Phillips 108, DP Conway 65, MJ Guptill 34,) beat West Indies 166/9 (KA Pollard 28, KMA Paul 26, HO Hetmeyer 25, KR Meyer 20, ADS Fletcher 20, KA Jamieson 2/15, MJ Santner 2/41) by 72 Runs
Player Of The Match: Glen Phillips

Kiwis gave Caribbean Kings of T20 their own medicines blasting their attack to run mountain 238/3 and then crushing them to 166/9. Winning by 72 runs New Zealand wrapped up the series with one match to play.

A little-known batsman to world cricket Glen Phillips before this series smashed 108 in 51 deliveries and equally unknown Devon Conway producing quick fire unbeaten 65 off 37 created sky scrapers of the Kiwi Innings. Chasing that score and overhauling required CH Gayle and Pollard batting together at full flow. But CHG is not there and too much was left for Captain Pollard achieving. West Indies could reach 166/9 in allotted overs losing the match by 72 runs and losing the series already by 0-2.

We are not sure the West Indies attack is the best they possess. They looked too friendly to young mostly unknown Kiwi batting. Excepting Guptill and Taylor none perhaps has too many T20 international experiences. Phillips blasted 10 fours and 8 sixes in his match winning 51 balls 108. Conway remained not out scoring 65 in 37 balls striking 4 fours and 4 sixes.

238/3 is not a score that is chased too often. West Indies sail loose wind from the brutal attack of Kiwis. They could not repeat what the Kiwis do with their bowling and lost big by 72 runs. As many as 5 players scored between 20 to 28 but none could grow big.

With the series already lost Caribbean can play some of their front-line players to salvage some pride in the last match.
