Dream 11,IPL 2020, 44th Match
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) VS Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Played at DSC, Dubai on 25 October 2020

Brief Scorecard: CSK 150/2 in 18.4 Overs (RD Gaikwad 65, AT Rayadu 39, F du Plesssis 25) beat RCB 145/6 (V Kohli 50, AB de Villiers 39, Padikkai 22 ,Sam Curran 3/19 , DL Chahar 2/31 ) by 8 wickets
Player of the Match: Ruturaj Gaikwad

On a slow sluggish wicket where even Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers struggled to bat a little known RD Gaikwad (65) shocked and rocked formidable RCB earning a very satisfying 8 wickets win for CSK.  Nothing went right this year for MSD’s CSK. But this win must be treated as a huge flash before signing off from IPL 2020. RCB batting first on the gripping wicket crawled to 145/6 in allotted overs. CSK surprisingly batted out of their skins overwhelming RCB scored 150/2 in 18.4 overs. CSK won big by 8 wickets. Nothing changed for CSK as they still stay at the bottom of the pack. But the loss becomes a pain in the neck for RCB at the end.

Wickets in Dubai in recent matches slowed progressively as match progressed. Sensing that Kohli opted batting first. Perhaps they became too much conservative. Otherwise flamboyant Kohli and de Villiers could not unleash. 50 runs that Kohli scored required him bat for 43 deliveries. ABD batted for 36 balls for his 39. English youngster Sam Curran bowled tight taking 3/19. Chahar took 2 for 31.

With the prospect for a business session seemingly out of sight CSK had little to loose. Faf du Plessis (25) and Gaikwad (65*) gave CSK a reasonably good start of 45 in 5.1 overs before Faf got out. Rayadu stayed with Gaikwad till 113. Lilltle known Gaikwad surprised many with the fluency of his batting on a wicket VK and ABD were finding time their strokes challenging. Gaikwad remained not out scoring 65 in 51 balls. He struck 4 fours and 3 sixes. CSK won by 8 wickets as they cruised to 150/2 in 18.4 overs.

Theoretically CSK can still sprint with two more big wins. But that possibility is a bit remote. RCB is better placed. One more win would secure them their place in top four.
