Dream11 IPL 2020. 30th Match
Delhi Capital Vs Rajasthan Royals
Played at DSC, Dubai on 14 October
Brief Scorecard:
DC 161/7 (Shikhar Dhawan 57, SS Iyer 53, JC Archer 3/19, Unadkat 2/32) beat RR 148/8 (BA Stokes 41, RV Uthappa 32, JC Buttler 24, SV Sampson 23, Anrich Nortze 2/33, T Deshpande 2/37) by13 Runs.

Dynamic Delhi Capital keeps marching on. In their mission IPL 2020 they got elbowed out Rajasthan Royals by 13 runs in their first match of round two to return to the top of the points table.

These day's winners of the toss elect to bat and on the slowing down wickets win the matches. DC also followed the trend. Batting first weathering the blistering pace of Archer they managed a competitive score of 161/7 despite of losing Shaw (0) and Rahane (2). At one stage they were 2/10. RR could manage 148/8 and thereby lost the match by 13 runs. 160 plus is proving as winning score these days in UAE wickets.

Capitals when they were Dare Devils also did not win IPL trophy. This year they look better organized. Whenever asked any bowler or a batsman is performing. Yesterday they did not start well. Inform Shaw was out without scoring. Rahane who came in for injured Pant also could not get going. Batting against pace and bounce of Archer appeared challenging. However, experienced Dhawan and young Iyer kept their cool. Their 85 runs polished 3rd wicket partnership set the bearing. Dhawan scored 53 of 33 deliveries with 6 strikes across the fence and two over and across. Iyer scored 53 of 43 balls. Archer bowling fast and furious took 3 wickets giving away 19 runs. Unadkat took 2 for 32.

RR in response looked hesitant. DC bowlers were extremely disciplined and fielding was pretty sharp. Young Iyer is marshaling his resources very smartly. RR innings could never get the momentum. English pair Stokes (41) and Buttler (24) opened the innings. Both got start but were removed before they could make major damage. Apart from them Uthappa (32) and Samson (23) could make some contribution. But as wicket became slower and lower scoring runs became increasingly difficult. RR could reach 148/8 in their allotted overs. DC won the match by 13 runs. Anrich Nortze (2/33) kept his form going. This time a relatively unknown Deshpande (2/37) gave him excellent support.

DC is clinically executing their plans and are looking good.
