Reigning Champions MI kept marching ahead consolidating the position at the top of point’s table winning comfortably against SRH by 34 runs. Choosing to bat first MI put up a defendable score of 208/5. 

All knows that MI possesses a strong battery of penetrative fast bowlers and few restricting bits and pieces medium pacers to restrict opposition chasing even a moderate target. Despite of the best efforts of Warner (60) SRH could go as far as 174/7 in response. Winning by 34 runs MI elevated their position to the top of the table achieving 6 points from 5 matches. They are followed by DC and RCB at 2 and 3 on the basis on Net Run Rates.

It was a day game of the second day of the double header. There was no question of dew factor. Rohit Sharma did not hesitate to opt for batting after winning the toss. But unfortunately he got out in the first over through unnecessarily poking a wildish delivery leaving him, Q de Cock (67) however, for the first time in the tournament found his task. First with Yadav (27) and then with Ishan Kishan (31) he steadied the boat. MI bats deep. On the day Pandya brothers Hardik (28) and Krunal (20*) both made contribution and so did Pollard (25*). MI posted a reasonably good score of 208/5. 

SRH could chase successfully if only one top order batsman could stay longer enough with Warner (60). Pandey (30) and Bairstow (25) got the start but could not kick on. MI possesses a great combination of fast and medium pace attack to defend. On the day Boult (2/28), Pattinson (2/29), Bumrah ( 2/41) did not let Sun Rising . MI restricted SRH to 174/7 earning 34 runs win for MI. With business session round the corner reigning champions have started looking ready with all guns blazing.
