Dream11 IPL 2020
13th Match Between MI and KKXIP Played at Abu Jayed Stadium Abu Dhavi on 1 October 2020

Brief Scorecard:

Mumbai Indians (MI) 191/4 (RG Sharma 70, KA Pollard 47*, HHPandya 30*) Beat Kings XI Punjab (KKIP) 143/8 In 20 Overs ( N Pooran 44, MA Agarwal 25 , JJ Bumrah 2/18, RD Chahar 2/26, JL Pattinson 2/28 )  By 48 Runs
Player Of The Match: Keiron Pollard

Scoring 67 runs in only 3.5 overs in any format of a game requires fairy tale batting display of aggressive stroke play. Yes, that is what Pollard and Pandya did yesterday for Mumbai Indians against Kings XI lifting MI from a sorry looking 4/121 at 16.1 Overs. Fours and sixes came in torrents.  MI reached 191/4 taking 25 runs in the final over. After such a batting Tsunami it is very rarely possible for a team getting back the composure and chase. MI also possess a brilliant balanced attack in Boult (1/42), Bumrah (2/18), Pattinson (2/28), Chahar (2/26) and Pandya (1/27).  With Rahul and Agarwal not firing and Maxwell yet to find his bearing only Pooran (44) could not climb the run mountain. Rather KKIP batting fell like a pack of cards reaching 143/8. MI winning big by 48 runs reached the top of the table with 4 points off course playing a match more than the leading teams.  Reigning Champions are getting tuned as the tournament approaches business session.

Rahul without any hesitation put MI in after winning the toss. His bowlers kept it tight till the 16.1 overs restricting MI to 124/4. Cottrel removed Qunito de Cock for nought. Rohit just escaped on DRS in the very next over. But the champion batsman spearheaded his teams batting producing yet another useful innings of 70 off 45 deliveries off course not at his flamboyant best. When he got out in the 17th over there was still lot to be done. Pandya joined Pollard. Perhaps some Bollywood action movie scriptwriter drilled his lesson to Pandya before he went to bat. From that point what the match witnessed over the rest 3.5 overs was a fairy tale. Balls were either floating high and handsome over and across or scorching the green outfield like tracer bullets. 67 runs were added in only 23 deliveries. MI climbed Mount Fujiyama 191/4 from 121/4 in the wink of an eye.

Such a blistering attack makes opposition loose composure. Rahul and Agarwal could not tee off, neither could Maxwell play his magic. It was not possible for Pooran alone lead the chase alone. Moreover, quality MI attack did not let off free bees. KKIP could manage 143/8 in their allotted overs. MI won big by 48 runs. They now lead the table with 4 points from 4 matches winning two and loosing two. 4 other teams also have 4 points each and each of them played a match less. Good to see the tournament gathering momentum as it starts entering business session.
