Pakistan Still Trails by 210 Runs for avoiding an Innings Defeat with 8 second Innings at Hand.

Brave back to the wall batting finally by Pakistan top order batsmen and true flat wicket on the rain affected 4th day of the third test have created an outside chance for Pakistan for battling out an honorable draw. When bad light stopped play Pakistan starting their following on innings 310 runs behind reached 100/2. Pakistan’s two best batsmen Babar Azam and Azhar Ali were together. With rain and inclement weather predicted on the 5th day possibility has been created for Pakistan rescuing unhurt in the test. England has already secured the series winning the first test. Second test ended in a draw.  

Anderson taking the wicket of Abid Ali reached one step closer to dream destination of 600 wickets. When he reaches there he will become the first pace bowler joining that exclusive club. The three above him Muttiah Muralidaharan, Shane Warne and Anil Kumble are all spinners. 

The wicket we must admit had very little for any bowler. The first two days were the best time for batting. The toss was crucial and was definitely lucky doing that. Off course Zack Crawley and Joss Buttler producing that extraordinary milestone setting 359 runs 5th wicket partnership batted Pakistan out of the match. Pressure of batting against huge score and brilliant bowling by maestro James Anderson taking 29th five wickets haul forced Pakistan wrapped up on 273. Azhar finally scored brilliant 143 not out. Off the rest only wicket keeper batsman Rizwan played yet again innings of substance 53.

Forced to follow on Pakistan did well finishing 100/2 on the rain-affected day four. Still 210 runs in arrears for avoiding an innings defeat Pakistan can hope of saving the test. Another important aspect of the match tomorrow is for Anderson reaching the dream destination of 600 test wickets.
