DHAKA: Bangladesh national volleyball team registered a 3-1 win over Nepal in the first match of Bangabandhu Asian Senior Men’s Central Zone International Volleyball Championship.

The two teams locked horns under Group A, at Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium in Mirpur Saturday (April 21).

Bangladesh overcame the visitor 25-18, 25-14 and 25-21 points.

However, the host will face Maldives on Monday (April 23).

Organized by Bangladesh Volleyball Federation, six countries—hosts Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are taking part in the international volleyball meet from April 21 to 27.
