Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) allegedly attacked Barguna's Patharghata Upazila Jubo Dal procession leaving at least 6 people injured in Bhola on Thursday (August 4).

The injured are, the former joint convener of the municipal youth party Sohel Pahlan, the joint convener of the Upazila youth party Abu Bakar Meshal, the senior joint convener of the Upazila youth party Jasim Uddin Rana, the convener of the Upazila volunteer group Md. Giyas Uddin, Baijit Bostami, leader of Pauro Jubo Dal, Nantu and others.

According to sources, the incident took place at the Upazila BNP party office around 10:30 am.

Leaders of Jubo Dal brought out a procession to protest continuous load shedding, unbridled increase in daily commodities, demand for the release of Tarique Rahman, Khaleda Zia, and the killing of two Jubo Dal leaders in Bhola.

Patharghata Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Shahidul Islam said the situation is now under control as police dispersed people from both sides
