The Detective Branch (DB) of Police has detained Mufti Kazi Ibrahim from his residence in Dhaka for interrogation.

A special DB team detained him his house in Mohammadpur College Road area of the capital after 2:00pm last night (Monday). 

He is being quizzed at the DB office on Minto Road in the capital.

Additional Commissioner of Police and DB Chief AKM Hafiz Akter confirmed the matter. 

Mufti Ibrahim allegedly delivered fabricated information in his discourse on Facebook and YouTube. 

"He is being interrogated in this regard", AKM Hafiz Akter added.
