Awami League Central Executive Committee member and former state minister of Textiles AKM Jahangir Hossain has died of Covid-19.

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) around 4:45 pm on Thursday.

Awami League Office Secretary Biplob Barua confirmed the matter to Banglanews. 

He appointed as the state minister of Textiles in 1998 in the first Sheikh Hasina cabinet.
