DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said Awami League president and also Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called a meeting of presidium members of Jubo League at the Ganabhaban .

“Why the Chairman of the Jubo League has not been called in the meeting, age limit for Jubo League leaders and other relevant issues will be discussed on Sunday (October 20),” he said.

Responding to a question from journalists 'Awami League chief to sit with the Jubo League on Sunday where its chairman Omar Farooq Chowdhury not to be allowed. So is he virtually eliminated from party?,' the AL general secretary said, "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called this meeting at Ganabhaban. So, it’s the decision of her. I could tell when it was called at the party office”.

“Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has called the Jubo League to the Ganabhaban. Those who have been asked from there will go to the meeting”, he added.

Asked whether the Jubo League would be brought under age structure, Quader said the issues would be discussed in Sunday's meeting.

The AL general secretary said that no women or children are targeted in political killings in the history of human civilization.
