IGP Benazir goes into retirement on Sept 30, gazette issued 

The government has issued an official circular on Dr Benazir Ahmed's retirement from the post of Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bangladesh Police (BP).

The Public Security Division of the home ministry issued a circular signed by Deputy Secretary Dhananjay Kumar in this regard on Thursday (Sep 22). 

Benazir Ahmed will reach retirement age on September 30 and he will be succeeded by Rapid Action Battalion Director General Abdullah Al Mamun.
