Two Dakhil examinees were killed in a motorcycle accident at Ghatail upazila in Tangail district on Friday night.

The deceased Naeem Khan, 15, son of Fazlu Khan, and Shakil Khan, 15, son of Abdus Sattar, were residents of Egarkhania village under Sanggrampur union. 

The victims were examinees from Darus Sunnah Dakhil Madrasa.

According to locals, Naeem and Shakil were going to Chankhola market from Deojana by a motorcycle last night. At that time, a battery-run auto van hit their motorcycle in front of Azadia Madrasa, leaving them seriously injured.

Locals rescued them and took them to a hospital where they succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment there.

Ghatail Police Station officer in-charge Ajharul Islam confirmed the matter on Saturday (Sep 17) morning.
