Police arrested two people along with heroin and Yaba tablets in Savar on Friday (Sep 16).

The arrestees are identified as Kazi Saleh Ahmed, 31, and Saidur Rahman, 24.

Sub-Inspector (SI) in charge of Aminbazar Police Camp under Savar Model Thana Harun-or-Rashid confirmed the matter.

He said on a tip-off, "Our team conducted a raid in Begunbari area of Aminbazar and arrested them."

"800 pieces of Yaba tablets and 50 grams of heroin were recovered from them. The estimated market value of recovered drugs is Tk 4.4 lakh, police said.

A case has been lodged against the two people under Narcotics Control Act at the Savar model police station, he added.
