A man was killed by a lightning strike in Dhunat Upazila of Borguna on Wednesday (Sep 14) afternoon. 

The deceased was identified as Tofazzel Hossain, 60, hailed from Bederbari Godagaripara village under Nimgachi Union Parishad of the Upazila.

Nimgachi Union Parishad Chairman Sonita Nasrin confirmed the matter. 

He said Tofazzel was struck by lightning at around 3 pm when he took his cow for grazing in the crop field. He died on the spot.
