Two brothers were killed in a lightning strike at Dumuria upazila in Khulna district on Friday night.

The deceased were Nazamul Malangi, 30, and Anamul Malangi, 25, sons of late Hasen Malangi, from Senpara village of the upazila.

According to locals, when Nazmul and Anamul were fishing from a waterbody in the evening, a lightning struck on them, leaving them dead on the spot.

Later, family members recovered the bodies from the spot around 8 pm.
