BSF didn't return dead body even in 36 hour

36 hours have passed, and still, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on the Dainur border in Sadar Upazila of Dinajpur has not returned the dead body of Minar.

The family of the deceased expressing deep regret said that the body was not returned till Friday (Sep 9) afternoon.

Jahangir Alam, father of the deceased Minar said, 36 hours have passed but the body of my son is still not being returned. He is gone, if the body was returned to us, we would have given him a proper burial. BGB is still not able to give the exact time regarding the body return.

Rubel Hasan, the cousin of the deceased, said, "My brother was killed by the BSF and taken to India." time has passed but his body has not been returned. We want justice."

He also said that Prime Minister went to India and discussed stopping border killings, but my brother was killed on the border the same day. "We are really disappointed. We gave them hilsa fish, and they gave my brother's dead body."

Rumana Parveen, a member of the Upazila, said that "We talked to BGB authorities. They informed the BSF about handing over the body. The officer in charge said that the body will be handed over at any time."

Earlier, on Wednesday (Sep 7) around 11 pm, Minar Babu, a student of Class IX, was killed by BSF firing while fetching tortoise shell near BOP No. 315 Main Pillar of Dainur No. 10 Kamalpur Union of Dinajpur Sadar Upazila.
