Three siblings mysteriously died in Jajira at Shariatpur on Thursday (August 18).

The deceased were identified as Sathi Akhtar (14), Saurabh Mia (6), and Khadija Akhtar (5), they are the children of Shaukat Dewan of Mulai Beparikandi village at Bilaspur union of the Upazila.

According to information, on Tuesday night, Roushna Begum, the aunt of the house next door, warmed and served stale biryani that was kept in her fridge. They got sick immediately after eating that food, and then they were admitted to Jazira Upazila Health Complex. 

However, Sourav and Khadija died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Later, yesterday Sathi too died as her condition worsened suddenly.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jazira Police Station Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said no complaint has been lodged yet by the family, but this incident cannot be ignored.
