Man held with 12 kg hemp in Mirpur

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested a drug peddler along with 12 kg of hemp in a raid at Mirpur in the capital on Sunday (August 14).

The detained was identified as Sagir Hossain, a resident of Mithakhali area of Mathbaria in Pirojpur.

DMP’s Detective police have confirmed the information.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Ashraful Islam said that police arrested the man by conducting a secret operation in front of Gate No. 5 of Mirpur Sherebangla National Stadium on Saturday.

Legal action is being taken against him at Mirpur police station, said ACP.
