An international training workshop titled "How to find an interesting angle for the news story in digital age?” was organised in Dhaka on Monday (Aug 1).

Russian state news media Sputnik in association with the Russian Embassy in Dhaka organised the workshop for Bangladeshi journalists.

The instructor at the workshop was Mr Oleg Dmitriev, Advisor at Rossiya Segodnya. PhD (Philology), Professor at the School of Media, Higher School of Economics. 

The event was conducted by Asya Samoilova, Head of Department, International Cooperation Department, Rossiya Segodnya. 

The trainers and organizers of the event said that Bangladesh and Russia have a long friendly relationship. From that point, this workshop has been organized for the journalists of Bangladesh. This will help journalists work better and more such activities will be held in the future, they added.

At this time, they also informed about the thoughts of making an archive with the reports published in the Russian media during the liberation war of Bangladesh.
