Dr Momtaz Begum, wife of Premier Bank Ltd chairman and freedom fighter Dr HBM Iqbal, has died.

She breathed her last on Tuesday morning while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore, according to a press release.

Her family members requested all to seek blessings for her departed soul.

Momtaz Begum was the vice-chairman of Premier Group, Hotle Hilton, Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel and chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Royal University of Dhaka.

She was also the managing director of Gulf Medical Center and Bukhara Restaurant (Private) Limited, director of Nowrin Electronics Limited, Bengal Tiger Cement Industries Limited and Air Concern International Limited.

Momtaz Begum, a successful woman entrepreneur, was also chairman of Beacon Travels International and member of governing body of Premier Foundation.
