A fire broke out at a shoe factory at South Banasree in the city Monday (June 27) morning.

The fire broke out around 10:45 am, said Md Shahjahan Shikdar, Deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence.

On information, four fire fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under their control around 11:35 am.

The reason behind the fire could not be known yet, Shahjahan Shikdar said.
