A Dhaka court on Wednesday (Jan 26) framed charges against 'child orator' Rafiqul Islam Madani in a case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA).

Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Judge Mohammad Assams Jaglul Hossain fixed February 22 for recording depositions in the case.

On April 7, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested him from Netrakona on charge of delivering 'anti state' and 'provocative' statement.

On April 8, Gazipur Senior Judicial Magistrate Shariful Islam sent Rafiqul Madani to jail after a case had been filed against him under Digital Security Act (DSA) with Gachha police station.

Earlier on March 25, Madadi was arrested from Motijheel area during a demonstration against the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Independence. He, however, was freed later.
