Four people died while undergoing treatment at the Covid unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in 24 hours till 8am on Saturday (Jan 22).

They are Sudip, 45, and Dilip Mia, 52 from Mymensingh Sadar upazila, Rashida Begum, 45, of Netrakona and Monir Hossain, 70, from Jamalpur Sadar.

Two of them died of Covid-19 while two others died of coronavirus-like symptoms, said Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of the hospital's Covid unit.

Fourteen patients were admitted to the hospital during this time and 73 people were being treated at the unit till 8 am, 

Out of 311 samples, 61 tested positive for Covid-19 in MMCH, said Civil Surgeon Dr Nazrul Islam.
