Two autorickshaw passengers were killed and two others injured after a pickup van crashed head-on with their vehicle on Marine Drive Road in Cox's Bazar on Thursday.

The accident took place on the Teknaf Marine Drive Road around 10:00 am, according to Hafizur Rahman, OC (Officer-in-Charge) of Teknaf Model Police Station.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and started rescue operation, the OC said.

Two others were critically injured in the accident, he said, adding they were taken to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital.
