COVID-19: Dhaka, Rangamati declared as 'red zones'

Dhaka and Rangamati have been identified as 'red zones' for experiencing maximum coronavirus infection rates across the country.

Besides, six districts have been marked as 'yellow zones' while 54 have been put under 'green zone'.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday published the list after analysing the last one-week data.

According to official statistics, the infection rate in Dhaka is around 12.90 percent while Rangamati 10 percent. 

Jashore, Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Lalmonirhat, Natore and Rangpur have been put under 'yellow zones.'

However, the COVID-19 sample tests are less in number in Panchagarh and Bandarban districts.
