Dengue: 118 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported 118 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Thursday morning (Nov 25), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

So far, 98 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 86 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 32 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 480 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are now receiving treatment in the country. Of them, 368 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 122 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 26,859 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 26,281 patients have returned home after recovery.
