Dengue: 142 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported 142 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Saturday morning (Nov 20), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

So far, 98 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 104 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 38 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 543 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are now receiving treatment in the country. Of them, 436 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 104 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 26,343 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 25,702 patients have returned home after recovery.
