Dengue: 1 dies, 106 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported one death and 106 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Tuesday morning (Nov 9), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With this, 96 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 82 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 24 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 626 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are receiving treatment in the country as of Monday morning. Of them, 513 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 113 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 24,902 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 24,180 patients have returned home after recovery.
