Dengue: 146 hospitalised in last 24-hr

The country reported two deaths and 146 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Sunday morning (Oct 31), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

So far, 91 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 104 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 42 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 762 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are receiving treatment in the country as of Sunday morning. Of them, 611 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 151 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 23,655 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 22,802 patients have returned home after recovery.
