The country reported one death and 184 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Wednesday morning (Oct 27), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With this, 89 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 151 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 33 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 864 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are receiving treatment in the country as of Wednesday morning. Of them, 711 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 153 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 23,054 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 22,101 patients have returned home after recovery.
