A couple and their 13-year-old daughter were murdered by unknown assailants in Bamia village under Number 2 Bagali Union of Koyra upazila in Khulna.

Police found the bodies floating in a pond next to a local Majed's house around 8:30 am on Tuesday (October 26).

The deceased were identified as daily wager Habibur Rahman, 30, his wife Beauty Khatun, 26, and their seventh grader daughter Habiba Khatun Tuni. They were residents of Bamia village.

OC Md Shahadat Hossain of Koyra Police Station said as per primary investigation, they were killed by miscreants in their home on Monday night and then their bodies were thrown into the nearby pond.
