Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has said e-commerce organisations will have to complete registration within three months to run their businesses.

He said, “All businessmen will be provided unique business identification number. The ICT division will provide necessary support in this regard. No e-commerce organisations will be allowed to run without registration."

Tipu Munshi came up with this information after holding a high-level meeting on e-commerce at the conference room of the Commerce Ministry at the Secretariat in the capital on Monday.

Central logistic tracking platform (CLTP) is required for legal verification, the commerce minister said, adding people will be able to submit allegation against anyone.

PM's Private Industry and Investment Advisor Salman F Rahman, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, FBCCI President Jasim-Uddin and Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, among others, were present.
