The country reported one death and 190 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Monday morning (Oct 25), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

So far 87 died from the mosquito-borne disease this year.

In the 24 hours, 154 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 36 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.

Some 861 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are receiving treatment in the country as of Tuesday morning. Of them, 703 patients were receiving treatment in 46 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 158 were undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

Some 22,688 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue since January while 21,740 patients have returned home after recovery.
