The government has given in-principle approval to the draft of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) Act, 2021, keeping the provision of maximum ten years imprisonment if the question is leaked.

The approval was given at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday.

Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said this at a briefing at the secretariat after the meeting.

He also said: "The draft law mentions some offenses related to the PSC examination. The maximum sentence for misappropriating in the test is two years while the minimum is one year or a fine, or both."
