Four Covid-19 related fatalities were reported at the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning (Oct 13).

With this, 49 people died of Covid-19 at the corona unit of RMCH from October 1 to till date.

Of the deceased, two were the residents of Chapainawabganj, while one each from Rajshahi and Natore districts, said RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.  

Among them, all were suffering from symptoms of Covid-19, he said.

Besides, 16 patients were admitted to the designated Covid-19 wards of the hospital in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of admitted patients to 83, including nine tested positive for Covid-19.

Fifteen other patients returned home from the RMCH Covid-19 unit as they recovered during the time, Yazdani added.
