Global COVID-19 cases top 237.1m, deaths pass 4.84m [image collected]

The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 237.1 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 4.84 million, according to data from the worldometer.

In its latest update on Thursday (Oct 7, 12:30pm Bangladesh Time), the data revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 237,109,904 and 4,841,241 respectively.

Besides, a total of 214,270,247 people recovered worldwide from the disease, according to data from the worldometer.

A total of 220 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

In USA, 44,918,565 people have tested positive for the virus. Of them, 727,710 people have died and 33,634,702 people have recovered.

In Brazil, 21,517,514 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 599,414 have died and 20,554,936 recovered.

In India, 33,894,312 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 449,883 people have died and 33,200,258 people have recovered.

In Mexico, 3,699,621 have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 280,607 died and 3,057,710 recovered from the disease.

In Russia, 7,662,560 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 212,625 have died and 6,778,900 people have recovered.

In Peru, 2,181,183 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 199,559 have died.

In Indonesia, 4,223,094 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 142,413 patients have died and 4,052,300 people have recovered.

In UK, 8,006,660 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 137,295 patients have died and 6,528,673 people have recovered.

In Italy, 4,689,341 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 131,157 people have died and 4,469,937 people have recovered. 

In Colombia, 4,965,847 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 126,487 people have died and 4,808,800 people have recovered.

In Iran, 5,662,458 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 121,779 patients have died and 5,153,048 patients have recovered. 

In France, 7,008,228 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 116,657 patients have died and 6,761,168 patients have recovered.

In Argentina, 5,263,219 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 115,379 patients have died and 5,127,068 people have recovered.

In Germany, 4,284,354 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 94,499 patients have died and 4,064,600 have recovered.

In South Africa, 2,908,768 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 87,981 patients have died and 2,786,409 people have recovered.

In Spain, 4,969,503 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 86,678 have died and 4,794,347 patients have recovered. 

In Poland, 2,914,962 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 75,774 patients have died and 2,665,251 people have recovered.
 
In Bangladesh, 1,560,155 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 27,635 people died and 1,521,113 patients have recovered.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11 last year.
