The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) on Wednesday (Oct 6) started its sale of essential items among the low-income group people at a subsidized rate ahead of Durga Puja.

TCB is selling each kilogram of sugar and red lentil at Tk 55, and onion at Tk 30, while soyabean oil at Tk 100 per litre.

The four commodities will be sold through 400 to 450 mobile trucks across the country till October 28, the TCB sources said.
