4 girls who went missing from Mirpur rescued

Police have rescued the four girls, who went missing from the capital's Mirpur on September 29, from different areas of the country on Monday night.

The four rescued children are Zakia, Rhodesi Stella, Jamia and Marina.

They were rescued from Netrokona and the capital’s Sadarghat area on Monday night, Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mirpur Model Police Station told Banglanews.

Earlier, Zakia and Jamia went missing on September 29 from the Ansar camp area while Rhodesi Stella and Marina had gone missing from a house in Janata Housing in Mirpur in the capital on October 3, he said.

"The reason behind their missing could not be known yet,” the OC said, adding that they were looking into the incident.
