The country reported 194 fresh dengue cases in last 24 hours till Sunday morning, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With these, 18,744 people have been hospitalised with dengue across the country since January, said Health Emergency Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.
In the 24 hours, 143 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka and 51 other people in other places across the country, said the DGHS release.
Besides, the Aedes mosquito-borne viral disease has claimed the lives of 68 people. Of them, 4663 were from the capital city, two each from Chattogram and Khulna divisions and one from Rajshahi division.
On Saturday, 955 dengue patients, including 758 in 46 government and private hospitals in the capital, were undergoing treatment in health facilities across the country.
Meanwhile, 17,721 patients returned home after recovery from dengue infection since January.
