Eight people died while undergoing treatment at the Covid unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in 24 hours till 8am on Saturday (Oct 2).

All of them died of coronavirus-like symptoms.

Among the dead, three each were from Mymensingh and Netrakona and two from Jamalpur, said Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of the hospital's Covid unit.

He also said: "121 patients are admitted in the Corona ward of the hospital including 14 new patients. Six of them are undergoing treatment in ICU. Besides, 10 people have recovered and left the hospital.”

Out of 385 samples, 12 tested positive in the last 24 hours in MMCH, said Civil Surgeon Dr Nazrul Islam to Banglanews.
