Global COVID-19 cases top 234.11m, deaths pass 4.78m [image collected]

The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 234.11 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 4.78 million, according to data from the worldometer.

In its latest update on Tuesday (Sep 30, 2:00pm Bangladesh Time), the data revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 234,110,514 and 4,788,875 respectively.

Besides, a total of 210,911,886 people recovered worldwide from the disease, according to data from the worldometer.

A total of 220 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

In USA, 44,199,496 people have tested positive for the virus. Of them, 713,953 people have died and 33,634,702 people have recovered.

In Brazil, 21,399,546 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 596,163 have died and 20,404,701 recovered.

In India, 33,739,980 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 448,090 people have died and 33,014,898 people have recovered.

In Mexico, 3,655,395 have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 276,972 died and 3,006,959 recovered from the disease.

In Peru, 2,175,305 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 199,367 have died.

In Russia, 7,487,138 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 206,388 have died and 6,653,941 people have recovered.

In Indonesia, 4,213,414 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 141,826 patients have died and 4,034,176 people have recovered.

In UK, 7,771,294 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 136,525 patients have died and 6,292,234 people have recovered.

In Italy, 4,668,261 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 130,870 people have died and 4,441,412 people have recovered. 

In Colombia, 4,955,848 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 126,261 people have died and 4,797,967 people have recovered.

In France, 7,008,228 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 116,657 patients have died and 6,761,168 patients have recovered.

In Iran, 5,572,962 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 120,160 patients have died and 5,009,673 patients have recovered. 

In Argentina, 5,255,261 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 115,130 patients have died and 5,116,274 people have recovered.

In Germany, 4,230,691 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 94,191 patients have died and 3,989,700 have recovered.

In Spain, 4,956,691 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 86,397 have died and 4,750,614 patients have recovered. 

In South Africa, 2,900,994 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 87,525 patients have died and 2,766,892 people have recovered.

In Poland, 2,905,866 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 75,623 patients have died and 2,662,132 people have recovered.
 
In Bangladesh, 1,555,051 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 27,487 people died and 1,514,962 patients have recovered.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11 last year.
